After getting a brief peek at the NCAA 11 player ratings via the teambuilder website yesterday and speaking with Adam, I am impressed with the way EA has put it together this year. I really like how there is a bit of a difference between the ratings of a 1st string QB and the ratings of the 3rd string QB. One of the main problems that I had with NCAA 10 was that the player progression was pretty bad, and in some cases made it unplayable. Now with the gap between ratings, no longer will you have a whole squad of QB's, RB's or WR's with ratings in the 90's. Last year in my offline dynasty with Notre Dame, after 2 years I had a lineup that was pretty unreal. Almost everyone, with the exception of true freshman, that started was rated 90 or above. After a while I gave up and started a rebuilding dynasty with the UB Bulls so that the unrealistic player ratings would take longer than a few seasons to wreck my dynasty. I personally feel that this also killed a lot of online dynasties. My first OD flamed out after a few seasons and player progression played a huge role. It is comforting to see that they are addressing unrealistic progression and ratings in NCAA 11. It will make playing dynasties for long periods of time much more enjoyable.
